CALL FOR ENTRY: BLUE Exhibition
The Sebastopol Center for the Arts is calling for entries for its BLUE Exhibition. The show will be comprised of work that uses, expresses, reflects, and interprets the color BLUE, including but not limited to blue in nature (sky/ocean), emotion, thoughts, and mood (blues) (Picasso, Yves Klein, Bill Viola). It is open to all media. Deadline for submissions is Monday, January 23, 2012, 3 pm to 6 pm.

Saddleback Art League "Spring Reflections 2012" 13th Annual All-Media Juried Fine Art Exhibition
Annual Juried Show to be held March 2 through April 6, 2012 at the Mission Viejo Library.
This year's Juror will be Mr. Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum, and a recognized authority on California Impressionism. Mr. Stern has extensive experience in the field as an author, curator, lecturer and teacher.
Entry Deadline: February 24, 2012 for PREREGISTRATION: members $20 for 1st entry, $10 each for 2nd through 5th entries; non-members $35 for 1st entry, $10 each for 2nd through 5th entries. After 2/24/2102 add $10 per entry to total.
Eligibility: All artists 18 years of age or older. Work will be judged in two categories, "Artist" for new artists or anyone who hasn't received an award in "Spring Reflections" between 2007-2011; "Masters" for professional artists, anyone who received an award in "Spring Reflections" from 2007-2011, or who received an award in any other juried competition during that time.
Medium: Oil/acrylic on canvas or board, waterbased media on paper, print based or mixed media (photography/digital/printmaking, pencil, charcoal, pastel, combination wet/dry). No sculpture,3-D art or jewelry will be accepted.
Each artist can submit a maximum of 5 pieces (in one or more mediums); however, no more than 3 will be hung at the discretion of the Juror.
Awards: Best of Show (one award)- $150 cash, plus 1st ($100 cash), 2nd ($75 cash), 3rd ($50 cash) and Honorable Mention (1 ribbon per category) in each medium for both "Artist" and "Masters" categories.

CALL FOR ENTRY - Oil Painers of America 2012 National Exhibition
Oil Painters of America will hold its Twenty First Annual National Exhibition of Representational Oil Paintings, June 22 through July 21, 2012 at Evergreen Fine Art Gallery in Evergreen, Colorado.
Approximately 30 awards will be given with a total value estimated in excess of $75,000 including a $25,000 Best of Show. Juror of Awards is Quang Ho. A full-color catalog will be available.
Deadline for mailed-in slide submissions is February 10, 2012. Deadline for on-line submissions is February 24, 2012.
To enter, artists must reside in the U.S., Canada or Mexico and be a current member of OPA at an annual fee of $60. National Exhibition entry fee: $30 for the first entry, $15 for the second.
