Movie lovers visiting the popular ArcLight Cinemas in Beach Cities this Fall and Winter will be treated to a fantastic array of vibrant paintings by Los Angeles avant-garde artist Ione Citrin.
Ione's eclectic oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, including the powerfully evocative "UFO" from her Circle Paintings series, will be on display in ArcLight's distinctive lobby from September 21, 2011 through January 10, 2012.
Ione uses only one name but a variety of styles to soothe her wild imagination. Her contemporary paintings range from abstract to realistic to impressionistic - all visionary interpretations from her imaginative soul. Her art is as original as she is - bold, colorful and highly decorative.
"Through my art I can show the world the way I feel it. I love to experiment. I guess I'm a "tinkerer with an artistic eye".
